roberson-richardsonCLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Two teens have been arrested in connection with a burglary and assault that occurred on Tuesday, March 11, at a second story apartment at the Captain Loomis Inn, on Main Street in Clarion.

On Tuesday, March 11, Officer Kemmer, of Clarion Borough Police Department, received a call from Clarion County Control to respond to Main Street for a report of an assault.

When police arrived at the scene, it was reported that a black male in the upstairs Loomis apartment was assaulted by two black males. A black plastic BB gun was found in the hallway upstairs.

The victim reported to police that he was in his apartment when a black male, who he only knew by the first name Keith, knocked on the door. The victim let Keith into his apartment and while walking in, Keith made a comment about dropping his wallet in the hallway. Keith walked back outside of the apartment, and a short time later, Keith walked back in with another black male. The victim did not know the other male.

The victim said that as soon as the other male walked into his apartment, Keith allegedly grabbed him by the arm, an all three of them started to fight each other. The victim said that during the fight he was able to make it into the hallway, and the male, who he did not know, allegedly struck him in the head with a gun. Then, Keith allegedly reached into the victim’s pants pocket and pulled out all of the money he had. Keith and the other male took off after getting the money. The victim had a total of $800.00 that was taken. He refused any medical treatment.

The victim told Kemmer that he had met Keith before as they both were in George Junior together, but he didn’t know his last name.

On March 12, Officer William Peck was debriefed on the incident, and he met with a confidential informant who he believed would be able to provide information relative to the assault. The CI related that several people were involved in robbing “drug dealers” for the money and drugs. These people targeted “drug dealers” because they knew they would not report the crime. The CI provided a possible suspect of “Keith Roberson.” Through a photo line up, the victim identified Keith Roberson as the person who assaulted and robbed him.

In an interview on March 12, The victim told Peck that he met Roberson on CUP campus while playing basketball, and that he knew him from being in placement with him. He met the other perpetrator through Roberson, and he only knew him as “Buff.” The victim said that “Buff” came over to his apartment around 8:00 p.m. to purchase marijuana from him. The victim told police that “Buff” pulled a gun on him and told him to give all of the marijuana to him. A struggle ensued, and the victim was able to overpower “Buff,” and obtain the firearm. The victim told “Buff” that he had his finger on the trigger of the firearm, and “Buff” yelled at him that the gun was fake. The victim was able to get “Buff” out of his apartment, and the gun was left behind.

The victim told Officer Peck that several hours later Roberson showed up at his apartment for the purpose of purchasing some marijuana. That is when Roberson left the apartment and returned with “Buff.” Johnson told Peck about the struggle, “Buff” striking him with the gun, and Roberson stealing $800.00 from him. The victim said that the perpetrators also took his three ounces of marijuana which was in the living room. The victim said he recently paid $500.00 for the three ounces of marijuana.

Officer Kemmer and Officer Peck apprehended 19-year-old Keith Quinn Roberson, Jr., in his dorm room. He denied knowing the victim and any involvement in the incident. Roberson is from Penllyn, Pa., which is north of Philadelphia.
