CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Two people escape injury in an early morning crash on March 24, on State Route 62, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.
According to Franklin-based State Police, around 2:20 a.m. on March 24, William C. Rode, 58, of Clarendon, was traveling north on SR 62, in a 2005 Ford Escape, when he lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway.
The vehicle, heading off the western side of the road, struck a guide rail, and after initial impact, it re-entered the roadway rotating counterclockwise approximately 180 degrees crossing both lanes, police say.
It then came to rest partially in the northbound lane facing east.
Both Rode, and his passenger, Marylin N. Rode, 68, also of Clarendon, were using seat belts and were not injured.
