SANDYCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, around 6:36 p.m. on January 31, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Pittsburgh Road, State Route 8, 361 feet north of Pone Lane, in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.
Police say 81-year-old Janet Proper, of Franklin, and 64-year-old Ralph J. Willyoung, also of Franklin, were involved in the collision.
According to police, Proper was traveling south on SR 8 in a 2000 Subaru Outback and was turning left into a driveway and turned into the path of a 2003 Toyota Tacoma driven by Willyoung who was traveling north on SR 8.
The Subaru came to rest approximately in the turning lane of SR 8, approximately 10′ west of the point of impact.
The Toyota came to rest in the right northbound lane of SR 8, approximately 30′ from the point of impact.
Both drivers were using seat belts and suffered minor injuries.
They were transported to UPMC Northwest.
Proper was charged with a traffic violation.
