IRWIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say around 7:20 a.m. on January 17, a hit and run accident occurred on Georgetown Road, 525 feet north of Melvin Road, in Irwin Township, Venango County.
According to police, 59-year-old Anthony G. Avolio, of Franklin, and 44-year-old Paula K. Ahlschlager, of Harrisville, were involved in the collision.
Police say a 2011 Ford driven by Avolio and a 2005 Chevrolet driven by Ahlschlager struck mirrors resulting in minor damage to both vehicles.
Avolio left the scene without providing information to Ahlschlager, according to police.
Avolio and two passengers, Michelle Bixler, of Harrisville, and 53-year-old Gary L. Lepley, of Franklin, were using seat belt and were not injured.
Ahlschlager was also using a seat belt and was not injured.
Avolio was charged with a traffic violation.
