KOSSUTH, Pa. – Clarion-based State Police say around 12:05 p.m. on December 31, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 322, 1/2 mile east of Kossuth, in Clarion County.
According to police, 18-year-old Tia Lee Snyder, of DuBois, was driving eastbound on SR 322 when she lost control of her 2007 Hyundai Elantra traveling around a bend on the snow-covered roadway.
Her vehicle crossed the oncoming lane of traffic and hit a hillside on the north side of the road.
Then, it re-crossed the lanes and struck a hillside on the south side, causing it to roll over three times, police say.
The vehicle came to a rest on its wheels on the roadway.
Snyder and a passenger, 22-year-old John Umstead, Jr., also of DuBois, were using seat belts and were not injured.
The vehicle sustained major damage.
