OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) - Oil City Police Chief Robert Wenner is urging area residents to avoid travel for the next 24 to 48 hours.
Chief Wenner says motorists should avoid travel unless absolutely necessary, due to heavy snowfall blanketing the area.
Weather conditions have caused an influx of stranded motorists and vehicles.
Wenner also reminds the public to check on their neighbors and to avoid overexertion while removing snow.
A Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect until Monday at 1 a.m.
